  • I’m an independent financial planner based in West Knoxville, TN that specializes in (and really enjoys!) working Retirees and those within 10 years of retirement.

  • Yes, as a Certified Financial Planner® professional, I am held to a fiduciary standard. This means I am legally and ethically bound to act in your best interests at all times when providing financial advice. The CFP Board's Code of Ethics and Standards of Conduct requires that I place your interests above my own and provide full transparency regarding any potential conflicts of interest. My fiduciary duty extends to all aspects of our financial planning relationship, ensuring that the recommendations I make are solely in your best interest.

  • My first job out of college was here at Providence, starting in May 2013.

Paul hired me then to help our firm’s clients better navigate the Social Security filing process. I spent 6 years absorbing every Social Security resource I could find before I decided I wanted to sit for the CFP® exam in 2019.

  • Many of the commonly asked questions about who I work with, what services I provide, and how fees work are all transparently answered on our Work With Us Page at the top of this website or by clicking on this link.

If you would like to schedule a 30 minute phone call to discuss your situation and see if we might be a good fit to work together, feel free to go ahead and schedule a complimentary call by clicking on this link:

Alternatively, if you have an additional question or unique situation not answered there, feel free to send me a message at the bottom of this page.

  • I obtained my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification in 2019. Here’s a helpful article (link) on why I believe choosing a CFP® professional is important.

I became licensed as an Investment Advisor Representative in 2013.

I received my bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 2012.

  • Born and raised in Tennessee…I grew up in Cedar Hill, a small town in northern Middle Tennessee (Robertson County).

I attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, got married and have called Knoxville home since 2013.

  • My wife (Eva) and I got married in 2013. She’s a big-time runner, homeschools both of our children, and a friend to many.

We have two children, Ella (10) and Miles (7).
